An auger is a drilling device, or drill bit, used for making holes in the ground. It usually includes a rotating helical screw blade called a "flighting" to act as a screw conveyor to remove the drilled out material. The rotation of the blade causes the material to move out of the hole being drilled.

A4 or 4 Series Augers

The 4 Series Augers have as standard 65mm round drive hubs and they are also available in 50.8mm round, 50.8mm hex and 57mm square drive hubs.

A4 augers are available in 5 different tooth and pilot styles:
Earth (E): suitable for soft ground and sand
Tungsten Carbide (TC): suitable for soft ground and sand with better wear properties than Earth
Multi Facet Tungsten (MFT): suitable for hard ground conditions including clay
Earth/Rock Combo (RC): suitable for harder ground conditions including fracturable rock, asphalt and concrete
Dedicated Rock (DR): suitable for fracturable and non fracturable rock.

A4 augers suit machines from 800kg to 5 tonnes and torque ratings to 5000Nm.

Suitable for PDD to PD4 Earth Drills.

A6 or 6 Series Augers

The 6 Series Augers fit a Standard 75mm Square Hub and are suited for large Skid Steers, Tracked Loaders, Backhoes, and Excavators. Choose from the A6 MFT, RC6 or DR6 for optimal drilling efficiency, depending on ground conditions, choose between a bladed cutting head, a tapered cutting head, or a rotating rock pick.

A6 augers are available in 3 different tooth and pilot styles:
A6 Multi Facet Tungsten (MFT) - Suitable for earth and sand with Bladed teeth.
RC6 - Rock/Combo with tapered teeth for all ground conditions
DR6 - Dedicated Rock with rotating rock picks for Shale and Fracturable rock.

6 Series augers suit machines from 5 to 10 tonnes and PD5 to PD10HF Earth Drills.
