All Digga Auger Drives are fitted with a Digga designed Eaton bell motor with integrated pressure relief valve and input housing. What is HALO - It's the future of drilling

HALO is a light-guided alignment system, fitted to the hood ring of the auger drive, which provides the operator with a simultaneous clear line of sight, without obstructing the view to the hole being dug. HALO utilises a band of LED lights - when fully illuminated green, it indicates the drive is plumb. If the drive moves from its plumb position, a sequence of red lights will illuminate the ring, indicating to the operator to adjust the drive back to plumb. Halo is currently available for Digga PDD-PD50 auger drives, and 2 speed Digga auger drives.

Choosing the Right Auger Drive Combo for the Job

The PDD, PDX, PDX2, PD3 and PD4-2 Auger Drives are known as the A4 or 4 Series and are a standard 65mm Round Shaft, and offer varying Auger diameter range starting at 100mm to a maximum of 900mm. As a rule of thumb, A4 augers suit machines from 800kg to 5 tonnes and torque ratings to 5000Nm.

The PD4-5, PD5, PD6, PD7, PD8 and above Auger Drives are known as the A6 or 6 Series and are a standard 75mm Square Shaft. The Square Shaft Auger range starts at 150mm and rounds out at a maximum diameter of 1500mm. The 6 Series augers suit machines from 5 to 10 tonnes and PD5 to PD10HF Earth Drills.

So Which Auger Do I Need?

A4 augers are available in 5 different tooth and pilot styles:
Earth (E): suitable for soft ground and sand
Tungsten Carbide (TC): suitable for soft ground and sand with better wear properties than Earth
Multi Facet Tungsten (MFT): suitable for hard ground conditions including clay
Earth/Rock Combo (RC): suitable for harder ground conditions including fracturable rock, asphalt and concrete
Dedicated Rock (DR): suitable for fracturable and non fracturable rock.

A6 augers are available in 3 different tooth and pilot styles:
A6 Multi Facet Tungsten (MFT) - Suitable for earth and sand with Bladed teeth.
RC6 - Rock/Combo with tapered teeth for all ground conditions
DR6 - Dedicated Rock with rotating rock picks for Shale and Fracturable rock.
